Our fully-renovated home is located on a rare half-acre lot with a boat dock, directly on a canal that feeds into the Gulf. We welcome up to 8 guests with 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and 2 half-baths. A sampling of our upscale amenities include a large screened and heated saltwater pool, poolside bar, firepit with two swings, screened patio with interchangeable games table, board games and yard games, beach cruisers, and kayaks. And most of all, gorgeous views of the canal and swaying palm trees.

Hi, we’re Joe & Josie, founders of Barba Property Management and the owners of Hernando Hideaway.
Originally from Pennsylvania, we discovered Hernando Beach while searching for a place that offered something different from Florida’s busy tourist destinations. We fell in love with its small-town charm, direct Gulf access, incredible boating, fresh local seafood, and the peaceful pace of Florida’s Nature Coast.
In 2020, we purchased Hernando Hideaway and spent nearly a year thoughtfully renovating every space with one goal: to create the kind of waterfront vacation home we would want to stay in ourselves.
Every detail—from the fully stocked kitchen and coffee bar to the heated saltwater pool, private dock, kayaks, and family-friendly extras—was chosen to make your vacation as effortless as possible.
Today, the greatest compliment we receive isn’t about the home itself—it’s hearing guests say it’s “the best stocked vacation rental we’ve ever stayed in.”
